Much praise for volunteering at the mayor's reception

One theme that ran through all the speeches at yesterday's reception was the great commitment of the many volunteers Warnemünder Woche. Astrid Voß, chairwoman of the Warnemünde Association, also spoke during the speeches. “After a two-year break, we were finally able to start the Niege Ümgang again. The atmosphere was great. This is how athletes must feel when they are carried to the finish line by spectators. It couldn’t be better,” she summed up. The actors took particularly long and intensive preparations for the parade and the summer festival. Because after the two-year break, the motto was: “Now it has to happen again.”

The poster for the 85th Warnemünder Woche, which will take place from July 1st to 9th, 2023, was ceremoniously unveiled on stage after the speeches in the presence of designer Pepe Hartmann. When asked what inspired him to design the new poster, Pepe Hartmann, graphic designer and long-time event photographer, said: Warnemünder Woche, the waves. “The first thing I design on the poster are the waves, which should look like the typical Warnemünde swell. “Then comes the color scheme,” explained the Hamburg resident who designed the poster Warnemünder Woche been designed for 25 years. His signature as a designer is also clearly visible on the new poster, which is characterized by the reduction to a few, high-contrast colors and clear lines.
