Beach rugby tournament: Berlin double victory
Ten men's and five women's teams battled it out today at the Warnemünde Beach Arena in a beach rugby tournament, starting at 10 a.m. with tackles and fast-paced rallies vying for victory. The trophy went to a team from Berlin in both the men's and women's competitions.
“Smoke on the Water XXII” once again lived up to its reputation as a cult music festival.
The mix of live music, literature, and rock history once again perfectly captured the audience's interest: Fans of the music festival "Smoke on the Water – the Open-Air by the Sea" traveled from near and far again this year to enjoy rock music for around six hours in a relaxed atmosphere in the Kurhaus garden.
Glashäger beach concerts build on last year's success
Just in time for the start of the second edition of the Glashagen beach concerts, the weather cooperated perfectly: Under a bright blue sky, around 5000 visitors enjoyed the concerts by Soffie, Fatoni and Blond against a perfect Baltic Sea backdrop – again including a top-class sunset.

28th Dragon Boat Festival: 28 teams in two racing classes over two distances in ten hours
The 28th Dragon Boat Festival was characterized by enthusiasm, sporting ambition, and team spirit on the water. Despite initially stormy conditions, 28 teams in two racing classes delivered thrilling races over distances of 100 and 280 meters, battling for every second and demonstrating impressive cohesion.

In addition to the sailing competitions on the water and plenty of action on land and on the beach, the Warnemünde Dragon Boat Festival will take place at the southern end of the Alter Strom on July 4, 2026. The friendly atmosphere, many large teams, and numerous spectators at the Alter Strom always guarantee a lively event on the second weekend of the Warnemünder Woche.
The Beach Handball Days are a popular classic tournament on the beach in Warnemünde. 30 men's and 24 women's teams from across Germany are expected to participate in the 24th edition of the event.
