Preview: IDM sea sailing from Thursday

On Thursday (July 7th) begins as part of the Warnemünder Woche the International German Sea Sailing Championship. The IDM is organized by the German Sailing Association (DSV) and hosted by the Warnemünder Sailing Club. Johannes Christophers, head of the technical department at DSV, was full of anticipation for the event: “We are looking forward to a great IDM off Warnemünde with real offshore conditions!” Different races for the big ships are on the program until Sunday (July 10.7th), starting with a medium distance race on Thursday of around 60 to 80 nautical miles in length. In the following days, an up & down race and a round-the-cans race are planned every day. DSV President Mona Küppers will hold the award ceremony on Sunday, July 10th.
