Pirates – Day 1

Frieder Billerbeck and Julius Raithel took the lead for the Pirates on the first day of the regatta. “Sailing today was very nice, with fantastic conditions. At the end of the second race we had a bit of a decreasing wind, which caused us to turn to the right, which wasn't so good for us," said foreman Julius Raithel. After two races with a first and a fifth place, the European champions of 2019 and 2021 are tied on points ahead of Andreas and Martin Ebel from Güstrow in second place. Their clubmates from Güstrow, Peter Anders and Peter Bark, follow in third place, tied with Ines and Thomas Heldt from the game and sports club “Unit” Teterow in fourth place. Five more races are to be completed by Monday.
