Final result Pirates: Conclusion with Warnemünde wave

After three days of regattas, the pirates are leaving Warnemünde today. Frieder Billerbeck and Julius Raithel go home as Warnemünder Week winners.

While the reigning European champions, Frieder Billerbeck and Julius Raithel (both from the Wedel-Schulau Sailing Club), still had a narrow lead after the first two days, on the final day of the ranking regatta they were once again able to show off all their skills in a fresh four to five wind force and later prove it with a little decreasing wind. “The best thing was that we had the Warnemünde wave today, which is why we came here,” said Julius Raithel. Two races won today ultimately increased the gap to the runners-up, Ines and Thomas Heldt from Teterow, to six points. Andreas and Martin Ebel from Güstrow came third.
