Preview: 25th Dragon Boat Festival on July 8th and 9th

44 teams with a total of almost 1.000 participants will bring the southern Alte Strom to a boil this weekend (July 8th and 9th) when they take part in the traditional dragon boat race. After a smaller edition last year, the 25th anniversary edition will take place again this year as usual. The long, narrow dragon boats are launched every minute. Paddling is over 280 meters and the sprint distance is over 100 meters. Driven by the rhythm of the drums and the cheers of the audience on the banks, the participants will try to achieve the best times and achieve victory. The weather forecast promises ideal conditions for the races - good atmosphere and sporting action are guaranteed! It will be colorful on the Alter Strom, it will be loud when cheering and, above all, extremely sporty! Races are scheduled for Saturday from 9 a.m. to 18.30:9.30 p.m., and on Sunday the Dragon Boat Festival runs from 15:XNUMX a.m. to XNUMX p.m. On Sunday there will be a spectator race during the lunch break.
