Starting at 8 a.m. tomorrow morning, the Neuseddin marching band and the Rendsburg music corps will set off for the wake-up procession through Warnemünde in preparation for the Niege Ümgang (New Procession). Participants in the Ümgang will line up from 9 a.m. to begin the procession through the town at 10 a.m., leading from Seestraße via Alexandrinenstraße, Kirchenstraße, Mühlenstraße, Kurhausstraße, and Seestraße to the Kurhaus garden, where the official opening of the 11.15th festival will take place at around 87:XNUMX a.m. Warnemünder Woche is carried out.

At the opening, hosted by Minister-President Manuela Schwesig and Rostock's master craftsman Eva-Maria Kröger, the audience can expect a colorful program featuring traditional costume groups, dance, and music, as well as the traditional tapping of the Hanseatic Brewery Rostock's beer barrel with Manuela Schwesig, Minister-President of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Frauke Rauner of NDR MV will moderate the event. Following this, the Neuseddin marching band and the Marielyst Monday Choir from Denmark will perform concerts.

Three free dance courses on the lighthouse forecourt at the Teepott offer the opportunity to try out three very different dance styles starting at midday: Modern dance for children with the Tanzbühne Rostock (13 p.m. to 13.30:15 p.m.), hip hop with Happy Feet (17 p.m. to 17.30 p.m.) and Zumba “Come dance with me” (18.30:XNUMX p.m. to XNUMX:XNUMX p.m.).

In the Kurhaus garden, the NDR 1 Radio MV Party will provide a lively atmosphere with concerts: Pasternack Big Band (15 p.m. to 17.30:19 p.m.) and Foolproof – the party band (21.30 p.m. to XNUMX:XNUMX p.m.).

The St. Afra Meißen gospel choir will perform at the festive opening concert in the Warnemünde church from 19 p.m. (doors and box office from 18 p.m.).

A new highlight is beckoning visitors to the WAL Bar on the beach starting at 20 p.m.: the live podcast "Weil's jeden Tag brennt" (Because it's burning every day) with Monchi, singer of the punk band "Feine Sahne Fischfilet." The musician will be bringing a surprise guest with him for the podcast.
