“Day before the week”: early start for the summer festival

The strolling miles will open on Friday, July 1st Warnemünder Woche at the Alter Strom and on the lake promenade. In the evening, the Leipzig Symphonic Wind Orchestra plays a concert in the Warnemünde Kurhausgarten.

The Friday (July 1st) before the official opening of the Warnemünder Woche Saturday is traditionally the so-called “day before the week”. Visitors to the summer festival can then see the strolling miles along the Alter Strom and on the promenade in all their splendor from 10 a.m. onwards. A total of around 60 different stands offer visitors a wide selection of culinary delights and a wide variety of products.

In the evening there will be music for the first time: at 18 p.m. the Leipzig Symphonic Blasorchester will take the stage in the Kurhausgarten and play contemporary and classical original works of wind literature as well as classical adaptations. The ensemble is a full symphonic wind orchestra in which amateurs and professional musicians play together. The concert lasts until 20 p.m. and admission is free.
