Glashäger brings stars to the beach: Tocotronic and Hinterlandgang come to Warnemünde
As part of the 87th Warnemünder Woche There's a very special surprise for guests of this major maritime event: The GLASHÄGER Beach Concerts will bring live music directly to the beach on July 10th, starting at 16 p.m. Tocotronic, Hinterlandgang, Les Bummms Boys, and Lappalie will play an open-air concert at the Warnemünde Beach Arena. The concert is organized by the Rostock & Warnemünde Tourist Board, and admission is free.
The stage for the six-hour concert will be located at Strand Arena Warnemünde at Strandaufgang 1. Visitors can expect a diverse mix of rap, indie rock, punk, and folk—including ocean views and sunsets.

Tocotronic
Founded in Hamburg in 1993, the band has been successful for over three decades and has helped shape the German music scene. Their debut album, "Digital ist besser," was released in 1996, and their fourteenth album, "Golden Years," was released this year. Over the course of their musical career, the style and themes of their songs have continually evolved. The latest album is both intimate and political, and is about the journeys behind us and those still to come. At the same time, the songs speak of the longing for home and security, the passing of time, and the trust in the future that only love can provide.
Hinterlandgang
As co-headliners, Hinterlandgang takes the microphones and presents German-language rap with catchy beats and thoughtful, critical lyrics. Albert Münzberg and Pablo Himmelspach rap against boredom, clichés, and the shift to the right. They tell musical stories about their homeland, the East German provinces, and their upbringing and life in the village there, thus striking a chord with their young audience. Their parents' GDR past is just as much a topic as current political trends and provincial clichés.
Les Boomms Boys
"Brass meets indie" is the motto of the Rostock band Les Bummms Boys' performance. The quintet combines the energy of a brass band with the driving sound of indie, pop, and ska, ambivalent lyrics, and crisp beats. Their songs address current world events, process personal experiences, and invite reflection – all without losing the groove. A good mood is guaranteed at Les Bummms Boys' concert.
Trivia
Since 2013, Lappalie has been blending folk, punk, and songwriting into a colorful soundscape. The band's traditional lineup includes mandolin, fiddle, and eloquent lyrics. Over 150 concerts in Dublin, Berlin, Edinburgh, and other cities have yielded moving stories and driving folk melodies. Inspired by bands like The Pogues and artists like Gerhard Gundermann, they combine joie de vivre, irony, wanderlust, and melancholy in their music. Following their first recording in 2016, their second studio album, "Alles schön orange," is now being released. Lappalie delights audiences with emotionally charged live performances.
