Reception of the OB: Warnemünder Woche with signaling effect
The basic tenor at yesterday's reception of the mayor as part of the Warnemünder Woche was a positive mood of optimism. “It’s nice that we got the world rolling again,” commented Rostock’s mayor Claus Ruhe Madsen on the 83rd. The location is awesome! Kiters and surfers can start from the beach, the dinghies from the central pier and even the big ships are just a fender's throw away," she praised. She also revealed that her heart beats for sea sailors.
Astrid Voß, chairwoman of the Warnemünde Association, also spoke in her role as head of the summer festival. “Reducing the program from large to small was difficult,” she reported, referring to the pandemic-related restrictions. Canceling the traditional “Niege Ümgang” pageant would have been particularly difficult, but it was the right decision. “Our guests have a smile on their faces and are satisfied, and so am I,” says Voß.
The poster for the 84th Warnemünder Woche, which will take place from July 2nd to 10th, 2022, presented Pepe Hartmann, graphic designer and long-time event photographer Warnemünder Woche at the mayor's reception. “My posters should appeal to as many people as possible and at the same time clearly convey what it is about,” explained Hartmann, who designed the poster for the Warnemünder Woche been designed for 24 years. His signature as a designer is characterized by clear lines and the reduction to a few, high-contrast colors.
