After three days of sailing, the H-boats finished the last two races of their ranking regatta today. The German champion Holger Köhne (Potsdam Yacht Club) and his crew won confidently. Even an eighth place in the seventh and final run was no problem, as it has no influence on the overall result as a result. Peter Zauner from the Seeshaupt Yacht Club came second, Thilo Beuster third in the field of 17 starters. The H-boats will be guests in Warnemünde next year with their world championship.

The conditions were not easy to sail on the water today, said Kemmling: “The first race was OK, the second was much more difficult because of the decreasing wind and the wave that slows you down.” Julius won the first race of the day Braun-Dullaeus and crew from the Eckernförde sailing club. They are now in third place. Johanna Meier from the Warnemünde Academic Sailing Club took fourth place overall. “It will be a different game tomorrow,” said leader Carsten Kemmling regarding the weather forecast, which promises a little more wind for tomorrow.
