“Galizia” wins WIRO XXL Cup

The sailing yacht “Galicia” won the WIRO XXL Cup. The prize goes to the boat that finishes in the combined ranking of the medium-distance regatta Mecklenburgische Bäderregatta on the opening Saturday of the Warnemünder Woche and the long-distance round Bornholm achieved the best result. The “Galizia”, a type FF95 boat, finished the bathing regatta in second place and won Rund Bornholm in the yardstick classification. The crew around skipper Uta Ihlenburg and Olaf Hell received the prize at the Rund Bornholm award ceremony on Thursday evening. The WIRO XXL Cup is a challenge cup on which the victorious yacht is immortalized and will be presented next year at the 85th. Warnemünder Woche will be awarded again.
