The "LAX at the Beach" lacrosse tournament will be held over two days at the Warnemünde Beach Arena, and on Saturday, the beach rugby tournament will be contested for the crown on the sand.

27th Dragon Boat Festival (July 12 and 13)

The dragon boat teams will bring the southern Alter Strom to life with their races on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 18.30:9 p.m. and Sunday from 16 a.m. to 280 p.m. The first day will feature the 100-meter races, followed by the 20-meter Sprint Cup on Sunday. Participating will be 10-person mixed teams in standard boats, 9-person mixed teams in standard and small boats, and women's teams of up to ten paddlers in small or standard boats. The first start is scheduled for around XNUMX a.m. on both days. The organizer of the Dragon Boat Festival is SV Breitling from Rostock.

Lacrosse Tournament “9th LAX at the Beach” (July 12 and 13)

The ninth edition of the lacrosse tournament at the Warnemünde Beach Arena follows a new game concept. The game is played on two goals specially designed for beach lacrosse, each with a crease, but still without a goalie. There are fewer special rules than traditional lacrosse. The focus is on speed and fun. At the same time, the roughness is toned down somewhat. This allows for more opportunities for tactical plays and creative moves. The game is played 4-on-4 without a goalkeeper on a 36 x 18 meter field with two goals. The game lasts two ten-minute periods. The tournament runs from 11 a.m. to 18.30:10.30 p.m. on Saturday and from 14:XNUMX a.m. to XNUMX p.m. on Sunday. The awards ceremony follows immediately afterward. The tournament is organized by the Rostock Griffins and supported by the Rostock municipal utility company.

Beach Rugby Tournament (July 12)

On Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 19 p.m., the Strand Arena Warnemünde will also host a beach rugby tournament for the crown. The only beach rugby tournament on the Baltic Sea coast is organized by the Rostock rugby club "Dierkower Elche."

Men's and women's teams will engage in fierce tackles and display fast-paced moves at the Strand Arena Warnemünde, generating excitement in the large stands. After the tournament, a 90s-themed party will take place on Saturday evening at the WAL beach bar next to the Strand Arena Warnemünde. Admission is free.
