Schomaeker / Jess dominate the 505er - Hot, hotter, WARNEMUENDER WOCHE 2010: This year’s 73rd WARNEMUENDER WOCHE ended on the 11th of July with up to 40 degrees on Sunday. Over 700 000 spectators came to experience sailing, culture and summer festival for ten days. "This has been the best possible advertisement for our region. The whole of Warnemuende had been one peaceful and friendly fan mile. The Melges 24 started sailing at constant wind conditions around 12 knots. After a three day enduring calm Malte Kamrath from Germany finally won the Laser Europa Cup. Martje Uecker from Kiel could secure her first place in the women’s ranking of the Olympic Laser radial class. Rund Bornholm started with favourable wind conditions - Conveniently the wind freshened up at the start of the long-distance regatta “Rund Bornholm” at noon on Monday and spurred on the 46 participants on their course heading towards the Danish vacation island.
